Volunteer call out: Autumn production FRANKENSTEIN

We’re in the planning stages for our autumn production of FRANKENSTEIN and are looking for volunteers to help us bring it to life.

ROLE DETAILS:

Make up artist

Make up design and delivery for all eight characters, which includes the pivotal design for Frankenstein’s creature.  The make up artist must be available for technical and dress rehearsals and the three performances (6.30 pm to 10 pm from 28 October to 2 November 2024).  Desirable to have reasonable availability during the month of October to work with the production and direction team on make up design.  

Stage manager 

To work closely with the producer and assistant producer in making sure the actors and crew are in position for tech and dress rehearsals and all three performances.  This role will include taking direction from the production team, working to ensure quick and seamless scene changes, prop and costume supervision.  The stage manager must be available for technical and dress rehearsals and the three performances (6.30 pm to 10 pm from 28 October to 2 November 2024).  Desirable to have reasonable availability during the month of October to work with the production team on sourcing props and costumes.  

Stage hand

To work closely with our set build director and support the costumes and props lead. This person must be available for set build on the weekend 26 – 27 October, technical and dress rehearsals and the three performances (6.30 pm to 10 pm from 28 October to 2 November 2024). Desirable to have reasonable availability during the month of October to work with the production team on planning, sourcing and delivery.  

Sound and lighting technician 

To work closely and collaboratively with the production team and, crucially, our sound and lighting director. The role will involve designing the lighting and sound for the play, with advice and input from the sound and lighting director. This person must be available for technical and dress rehearsals and the three performances (6.30 pm to 10 pm from 28 October to 2 November 2024). Desirable to have reasonable availability during the month of October to work with the production team on planning, sourcing, and delivery.  

Runner

To work closely with the production team and help out where possible during the pre-production phase. General availability throughout October and must be available for technical and dress rehearsals and the three performances (6.30 pm to 10 pm from 28 October to 2 November 2024). 

Front of House Volunteers

To help with front of house activities like serving drinks, checking tickets, greeting guests. Availability for the three performance nights (6.30 pm to 10 pm from 28 October to 2 November 2024) desired. 1 or more evenings per person – we can be more flexible with these roles.
